way back when, my brother comes home one day from work, hands me Psychocandy with "for promotion only" stamped over the barcode and sez "want this?"

Had a bootleg tape of this back in 85, was so obsessed I would by any magazine that had a photo of them in even if it was not much bigger than. Stamp 😆 covered an entire wall in photos ( like the Alan partridge ep 😅) had a plastic bag full of demos hunting for new songs, got some black and white photos from the You trip me up video trip.The music, the aesthetics of the videos, the beauty buried in noise, the hair and clothes was perfect.Yes I dressed like them, even wore a black jumper in Minorca so I wouldn’t get a tan 😆 my mum didn’t get it 😂.Smoking as much soapbar ( pretty much all you could get ) as I could ( hot knives ) blims lined up, sawn off plastic lemonade bottle in my mouth hand free 😆 🥳 sitting in front of the hob listening to this, treasured memories 😊.
