I could smell the castrol r in the air, before you mentioned it. I used to like to go and watch grass track racing many moons ago, the noise and smell lives on in my head.

Smoke and Noise and the Glory Boyz:) Some interesting bikes there Dickie. The smell of Castrol R can easily be experienced if you ride behind Lord Colin as he puts some in the exhaust of his Enfield:)

If MZ started building 2 stroke singles again I'd buy one in a heart beat!

There's nowt quite like thrashing a bike around a track. Clipping all the apexs and knowing there's nowt coming the other way. You have to ride a track at some point in your biker life. Get an MZ 250 racer and give it a go. Did you catch the name of the chap with the Morini?

Good Morning Dickie, Wow what an interesting day mate, this takes me back to when i used to go to croft racing circuit up here in the north east, & i have to agree with you 100% the smell of castrol r you never forget tbh, Dickie the bike i used to crave for in my youth was the Suzuki gt 750 ie the kettle, so till the next time take care & ride safe
