MW2 need recoil/firing visibilty buffs. No reason to keep the old guns in the game if they are unusable. I shouldnt NEED a conversion kit to make a gun usable

They create the META based upon the battle pass and bundles. If they created the META based upon whats actually good for the game we wouldn't have this issue

I swear the devs always go for nerfing 1 2 top meta weapons instead of buffing the peashooters and hitmarkers 😢

The meta was fine before they added the Kar. Now it’s just boring.

Guns come and go but before the Kar there was 1 gun in particular dominating, some were better sure but not like it is now where you go in a room and see 56 sniper glints and die from the same weapon every time.

Kar has completely changed the resurgance game mode, it’s gone from people running around to staying on top of buildings

The low BV on long range autos is so noticeable in this game, its one of the reasons the Kar is so dominant

My biggest issue is that most nerfs and buffs come from the changes sledgehammer makes to the multiplayer and only a few things are adjusted for WZ only

Exactly! They just need to increase recoil, lower the bullet velocity and slower ADS on the meta guns. They dont have to nerf or buff only the damage to make a gun good or bad. If it's going to be a gun with zero recoil then it can't be the highest damage gun.

Guns feeling like pea shooters takes me out of it a lot. It's like I could just go play airsoft if I wanted to but in a video game I want to use deadly weapons I would never play around with.

The Kar98 is the problem rn, we have literally 2 ZERO RECOIL weapons. Not click bait no recoil, A real no recoil weapon in the AK conversion kits and they dont even come close to the KAR98 at range.

4:25 that point it's so true bro. Thats why now instead of Warzone, we are playing Karkzone cause they are constantily Nerfing all Full auto Long range METAs and also Snipers for no reason. Playing with the Kark98 is so fun I'm not gonna lie. But i prefer go back to the Dg-58 META than playing the "i got 1 shot killed simulator" cause High Alert is working so bad and saves u 1/10 times.

My biggest complaint on PS5 with a really monitor is I cannot see dark enemies at all when I shoot with an iron sights. If I go watch a streamer on twitch, I see them just fine when they do it. Why can’t I?

I'm just confused on how ammo calibers don't have different damage. Also, unique or niche weapons should be more impactful if mastered. They rockets on the game and no one running bomb squad but you can't one shot unless it direct hits? I understand that this isn't the most realistic game but games like Halo and Gears basically put players against one another with the same guns, meaning skill separates them. On this, you have to have a meta gun. They basically force you to play with certain guns.

Zach, I think this is tapping into some human behavioral dynamics :).
The vast majority of casual players like to play with the same guns especially if it took some time to level up those guns and they have built some muscle memory with recoil pattern and any other quirks. If the guns are "slightly nerfed" or if the guns are "reasonably close" to the new meta most casual players won't take the time or the money to change weapons.
So, in order to entice casuals to use different weapons, buy blueprints and other gun related bundles, they have to make the new guns dramatically better and their old guns dramatically worse. Not only that, if people have invested money in a blueprint, they want to use their cool guns so if these blueprints are "reasonably close" to the new meta they won't switch.
I think Activision's gun nerf and buff strategy solely hinges around DLC sales. Just like SBMM or EOMM, it's all about keeping you gaming more and spending more.

It's a cynical point of view but I believe all the decisions made by Activision are about prying every possible dollar from your fingers :).

the devs need to do three things when approaching the meta.

1. approach weapon fire rates, velocity, and damage profiles by caliber.
2. remove the extra 50 hp that makes it impossible to have a proper balance between one shot weapons, and automatic weapons.
3. buff and nerf guns to bring them ALL as close together, while maintaining their class and caliber specialties.

.300blk and 5.45x39 for instance are similar in a lot of ways, but 5.45 has velocity, while .300 has fire rate.
5.56 has damage and a mid velocity, while 4.6x30 has similar power, but it accomplishes it by have a higher fire rate and velocity from base.

the perfect example is the BAL27, Hurricane, and PDSW are all the same caliber. the Hurricane should be an AR, not an SMG though. the BAL (Not Real) and Hurricane (B&T AR57) should be usable in the mid-long, with high fire rates and easier recoil patterns than the PDSW, while the PDSW (FN P90) has the velo to hit pot shots out at that range, but has the high fire rate, and takes advantage of the rounds high stopping power in the close-mid ranges.

one more for the road, 7.62x39. i'm going to again take 3 guns and explain. the Kas762, MTZ762 Heretic kit, and the TR76 Geist. with these weapons the Geist (Malyuk) is a purpose built mid-long range bullpup, made to bridge the gap between AR and DMR; making it a mid-long demon with abilities to be used if needed in cqc. the Kas762 (AK-103) is an all around weapon, which is able to be used as an all purpose weapon, being good at all fields, but not dominate in any. the MTZ762 Heretic (CZ Bren 2) is a cqc weapon, purpose built for the close-mid, while still being able to defend at longer ranges, but not excel.

Speaking from experience, and chose the rounds i did here, as i have a SIG MCX Canebrake .300blk, B&T AR57, CZ Bren 2, and IWI Tavor 21 (in 7.62) in my collection. the Tavor 21 (Ram 7) and the Malyuk (Geist) are very similar weapons. i didn't speak on the ram, as the ram7 in game is the 5.56 model, not the 7.62. really hope devs read comments, and see this one.

Absolutely agree.. especially as a casual player, and with my friends who haven't bought the game, it is so frustrating to chase the meta, level up a gun, while getting destroyed by it, only to have it nerfed as soon as you have a viable build for it... This alternative just makes sense... Why don't they do this??

Changing the settings on a weapon is something a dev can do during their poop break. It’s simple; buff weapons that a team has been working on skins/store bundles for, let it go for a couple of weeks, nerf it and buff another gun the team has also made store bundles for. Money money money. That’s all this is. It isn’t about the game, it isn’t about the players, it isn’t about fun. MONEY. No amount of complaining will ever change it at this point. Now that the cash cow has been established, this will be our reality.
