They used to believe testosterone caused/fed prostate cancer. This is not true. Many men suffered from being taken off TRT &/or given testosterone blockers if they had prostate cancer. Now they realize that keeping them on trt actually helps them feel better while getting treatment. Most men do well with treatment. So, if your loved one is on TRT & has prostate cancer and they try to tell him to stop, tell him to look up the latest studies.

I just out of the blue decided to get tested for the BRCA genes and I tested positive for the BRCA2 GENE and so did my brothers

My ex husband is a Vietnam veteran. He was exposed to Agent orange and ended up with prostate cancer, AO is known to cause prostate cancer

My sons 3 uncles on his dad side have had prostate cancer.
1 died, 1 is in treatment now and the 3rd uncle has been clear for over 10 years.

Also if a man's mother or mother's sisters have had breast cancer that makes the man at higher risk for prostate cancer.

I think you mean certain mutations in those genes BRCA 1 and 2 because every man would have those genes, just not the mutated version.
