The Ramayana: A Story of Reincarnation and the Multiverse

Hanuman follows the crack to Patala Loka, the underworld. There, he meets Vasuki, the king of the serpents. Vasuki tells Hanuman that the ring is in a mountain of rings, and that he will have to find it himself. Hanuman searches for hours, but he can't find the ring. Finally, he gives up and asks Vasuki for help. Vasuki smiles and says, "This is not just any mountain of rings. This is a mountain of all the rings that Rama has ever dropped. Every time Rama dies, he drops his ring and a monkey goes to Patala Loka to retrieve it. By the time the monkey returns, Rama has already been reborn. So, there are many mountains of rings, each one representing a different universe."

This story is a reminder that we are all part of a larger cycle of life and death. We may not remember our past lives, but they are still a part of us. And, just like Rama, we will continue to be reborn until we reach enlightenment.

Hanuman is such a good protector that Rama has to distract him even if Ramas death is necessary for rebirth, Hanuman is so solely driven that he cannot even allow this, death will not come if hanuman is there, perhaps the very reason he himself is immortal because death fears him so much.
