My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We saw over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000's of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!

My wife had her knee replaced in May and was back to work as a school teacher in 4 weeks. She is going to have the other one done this summer. She was up walking the next day with assistance. Good luck Ron !! Listen to the physical therapy folks. As painful as it might be it is for the best and will get better everyday. Best of luck and a speedy recovery.

My wife had two knee replacements six months apart, in 2016. Went from constant debilitating pain, to pain free after healing. She is now what i call a knee replacement evangelist. When she sees someone with the characteristic limp, she talks to them about it. For her, it was literally life changing. To those who need it, get it done. It will make life better for you.

In 2017 at 63 yrs old, I had both hips replaced in Jan then March. Back to work for a bit then both Knees were done in June then August. I retired in February 2018. I’ve had no complications, as my wife keep after me to keep up with my physical therapy. Hips were easy healing compared to knees. Between my Schwinn Air Dyne and the Hot Tub I stayed exercised and flexible. No problems in 7 yrs.👍😀

Yep the doctor told us if you’re having hip replacement be happy you’re not having knee replacement. 3 guys at work got new hips, I got a knee. They were all giving me grief about PT not being a big deal. Yes it is. Glad Ron’s making progress.

The sound of the Cicadas brings back memories of my childhood. Before the days of AC sitting on my grandparents' big front porch on Sunday after a big meal of fried chicken and fixin's. Grandma would sit and fan herself with a funeral home cardboard fan. Hope you have a chance to sit back and relax yourself.

I feel Ron's pain. I had neck surgery 2 years ago and the worst part of the whole thing was the 2 nights I had to spend in the hospital. Well wishes for a speedy recovery! I think most of your subs will understand sometimes life gets the priority over Youtube.

My wife had two full hip replacements a year apart . In both cases she had no pain after surgery no bruising and walked normally the day after the surgery and took no pain killers at all not even a Tylenol. She did minimal rehab . I told the surgeon it takes longer to recover from having my teeth cleaned. I can’t more highly recommend Hospital for Special Surgery and the amazing Dr Ast

So sorry to hear this . I know the wife is scared to death about the surgery but the rehab is the most important. So get him going as you can.

I had both knees replaced in a matter of 4 months. It has been Life Changing!! No more pain and my quality of life is so much better. PT and rehab is a must. Don't try and cut corners. Also, get yourself an "Ice Machine." Called a Polar Care Cube and is available on Amazon. It basically is a Ice Bucket that has a pump and hose system that circulates chilled water to a wrap that goes around your knee. It is far better than Ice Packs was a great addition to my recovery. Ice is your friend. Secondly, you will be tasked and asked to get your knee and leg straight. A straight leg/knee is a strong knee. I picked up a 10 lb. bag of rice at the grocery store and when I would sit on my sofa and watch TV, I would prop my foot up on the ottoman and then I would place the bag of rice gently on top of my knee. That passive pressure helps push your knee into that straight position. Eventually you will feel some discomfort, so take it off for a while and rest. Later, put it back on and keep working that knee straight.
Recovery is a process. Don't be discouraged. It takes time but every day gets better and better. Research your doctors. Ask Physical Therapists what patients that they see do well and find out who their Doctors are. Hope this helps. Ron, glad you are doing better and on the road to a successful recovery. God Bless you and your family.

Had hip replacement two years ago, stayed in the hospital that nite, went home around noon the next day. The following day, drove to the mall to have lunch with some other seniors. Never did therapy, felt good doing great today. One thing about the surgery, I had what they call a nerve block. They num your nerves and you feel no pain. They just give you a lite sedation. When I came out of the sedation, I had no pain, The nerve block stays with you for a few days, Never had any real pain after. I have had about three surgeries with nerve blocks. Never had any problems after surgery with pain.

When I was a kid we had some chicks that swam in our swimming pool like ducks. One trick to do in the Hospital is have your doctor write an order to do not disturb between 9pm and 6am so you can get some sleep

That was good news your hubby had successful hip replacement. I had both of my hips replaced. I experienced no pain on both
operations. The crazy part about it is I trained about five years on my peddle bike.Arthritis is brutal. Your videos are outstanding keep up the good work.
