I speak Russian. I cannot really speak other languages, just some words and phrases. I remember enough French to read it. I got by somehow during my visits to France. I can usually follow the topic of conversation in Portuguese. My Japanese never went beyond two years of study, and I haven't used it enough to retain it all. Still, all the exposure to other languages helps me understand the challenges language learners face. :)

Natasha agrees that these numbers are hard to say. I tell her to speak slowly and try to say the words clearly. Make sure you say the endings. Good luck!

I understand the question you want to ask, but I'm not certain if there's a concise way to ask it. We might say, "How many presidents have served before Obama?" And then the answer can use an ordinal number: "He's the forty-fourth president of the U.S."
