I do all of these no-nos regularly. I altered my behavior in the past due to uncooperative (sometimes aggressive) people, and thought I should soften myself by adopting these “docile” additions to gain cooperation. Most recently when I was a younger woman leading grown men. It was very hard getting them to work with me. Although I have decided I no longer want to be in leadership roles, I’m still glad I saw this and I’m going to be mindful to try to de-program this behavior.
