Rieju Marathon 125 AC SM First Ride | Rieju Project Build

Here I take the finished Rieju Marathon bike on its first ride out since the rebuild to iron out the remaining issues on it and go have some fun, which is the whole reason for buying this and doing the works. There will be a full strip down in the winter to sort out the engine but for now, it’s a runner!

Great to have a project finally on the road. Will you be doing a Total cost of purchase and repair to get this far? I realize winter rebuild is still to come. I wonder if its close on cost to buying a new model and maintaining it properly, or an abused one and repairing say over a few years ownership. For me there is some satisfaction in repairing and getting something back on the road, done it a few times with knackered CZ's about 20 years ago. ( looking at the prices of them now I should have kept them all LOL).
