We pitted Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen against each other to argue over some of the internets biggest debates.

We find out if they think the Star Wars prequels were underrated, if they believe Darth Vader is the best villain in movie history and if they think the Star Wars universe and their fanbase is the best.

Remembering that the person from the film crew who fixed lightsabers 20 years ago was named Thomas says a lot about Haydens character. What a cool guy

As someone who works in film/live events: Hayden Christensen just earned a TON of respect from me. The fact he immediately could recall the name of a crew member from the production!

I love how when Hayden says "Thomas" and Ewan's face lights up like hes right back in the moment. Respect for remembering his name as well. I'm sure there was a lot of crew on set and to remember someones name especially 20 years later shows how the actors respected everyone on the crew.

1:29 The face on Ewan's face when he recalls the name, and then Hayden's smile. These guys weren't just brothers in the movie. You can tell they have so many memories.

Hayden remembering the name of a random crewmember on a film he worked on 17 years ago really should tell you everything you need to know about his character. Truly a prince among men.

I love that Hayden remembers the names of the crew on set—and how Ewan’s face lights up when Hayden says so. Two humble gentlemen

How the fans saw it:
Ewan: Only a Sith would put pineapple on pizza.
Hayden: You will try.

For me, Hayden is a perfect fit to play Darth Vader/Anakin because he has naturally a reserved attitude, a bit of underlying sadness and not a lot of facial mouvements when he speaks. Maybe this is what the criticism was about, but for me, he nailed it.

I am so happy that the fanbase has been so kind to Hayden recently. That man truly deserves another chance. He is NOT a bad actor.

I really like that ol' Hayden remembered the name of "Thomas", the man who supplied them fresh, straight lightsabers. :)

Can we just note that Ewan McGregor is 52 years old and still looks 30? Not only visually, but also the way he moves and expresses himself is as dynamic as if he were in his mid-30s at the most. Fascinating

The way hayden constantly looks at Ewan throughout the interview you can genuinely see how happy he is to be there. Well to be with him.

Really happy to see Hayden back and feeling positive about Star Wars. Can’t imagine it was easy for him all those years ago with some of the ridicule that was aimed at him

I cannot believe how toxic the fanbase was to Hayden. He is beyond phenomenonal and one of the best we ever had in the Star Wars Universe. Thankful for him and his awesome character he made for us in my childhood. Ewan too! Give him tons of credit.

I’m here after episode 5 of Ahsoka. It’s so awesome to see how much fan reception to Hayden has changed over the years. I think we can all acknowledge the faults of the prequels, but I will always love them, ESPECIALLY 3. Bottom line, Anakin is awesome and Ahsoka only reinforced that

I watched the prequels so much as a kid. It broke my heart how much they were hated by critics. It just does my inner child so much good seeing these films and actors get the recognition they deserve. I have so much respect for Ewan and Hayden and Natalie. They were amazing actors despite the rough dialogue and I’m so happy they have return with actually good material. Kenobi was perfect for me

Must be an absolute honour for Thomas to be remembered by 2 Star Wars legends 17+ years later. Hope he's doing well.

Hayden remembering the “lightsaber guy”, Thomas, is really sweet. Been such a long time it’s not often actors would even care to learn the names of people like that. Shows how sweet and thoughtful of others he really is.

Dude they (the fan base) did hayden so dirty when none of his perfomance choices were his own, he did the best he could with what george allowed him to and he got trashed for it, so unnecessary, so uncivilized, i'm glad he is finally getting the appreciation, recognition and respect he deserves for the role of the chosen one 🎉
