This reminds me of when my family used to mumble under our breaths as kids and our parents or grandparents would say “what did you say?” knowing they heard it. None of the kids were dumb enough to repeat it. We’d say “nothing, sir/ma’am.” We prefer keeping the taste in our mouths. 😂
