This is an incredible breakdown of something so many of us take for granted. Thank you for this brief glimpse into one of the greatest developments of the age.

Jack Kilby at Texas Instruments was there first in 1958.

No mention of the man, Jack Kilby, who won the Nobel Prize for inventing the integrated circuit. Noyce realized, correctly, that making them with silicone would change everything by reducing size and cost. I wish videos like this took a more nuanced view of inventions. It gives people the impression science that leads to things like this happen can happen by some dude in a garage. When in fact the basic science is usually stumbled upon by pure research and then savvy people spring to profit.

Uh, what about Jack Kilby, the guy who invented the IC and won the Nobel Prize for having done so

My father Richard Wilkinson work for Intel in The 1980s he's a designer of semiconductors he holds many US patents along with other people in his team. Bob noyce hopefully I spelled his name correctly. Another is like him to help shape our world today. My father told me that there was only 20 people in the world that did what he did on that level but semiconductor designing. But he told me this back in the '80s I just think now that there's probably a lot more people in the world that do the same thing now. But without the Intel semiconductor I wouldn't have the cool knowledge of electronics that I have today. Would be like still doing vacuum tubes. So I like to thank all those pioneers who ventured out to design something different and better for our world

Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore are definitely one of my heroes!

If he realized it would give us technology that lead us to social media, maybe he would have became a carpenter or a preacher like his father instead

Damn,
Incredible job, Alex, that was aw-inspiring. I can’t believe where we are and where we could be in the future, it’s scary but I’m hopefully too.

Cheers

Around the 1:00 mark i felt the impression that you were stating Bob Noyce invented the IC. He helped realize the monolothic IC. Jack Kilby invented the IC. Holds the patent. Just felt that needed stating.

This made me cry. No, no it didn't.

People have stated that technologies have come from Roswell Memory Metal being a recent creation but spoken about in 1947 many years ago. People stated that technologies were being developed from what was apparently found.

At 9:08, “We humans have survived an awful lot for a couple of billion years” hmm. I think I have a problem with this statement.

Intel - simple name, sophisticated work

It is said that the integrated circuit was FOUND and redesigned as first found in broken control panel inside the ET craft that CRASHED IN 1947. The section contained what we now call opto sensors, and glass fibers as data conduits of frequencies. A piece magnified with microscope revealed multi stages with "transistors". See American Computer Company and book- The Day After Roswell. Modern technology owed to ETs? Even the see in the dark and Kevlar vests, etc.

I met an intellectual relative in Bristol UK a few years ago, he married a cousin and settled in Bristol. We were at a fair and he mentioned something that surprised me, ' the microchip was invented in Pakistan'. Reload a collection of short stories

I want to know how they figured out that if they make a lil metal thing that if you add power it can hold info like how dose it actually hold the info how did they figure that out how dose the info actually go into it ??
