Cyclists Raise Money for Tahltan's Mine Protest
Показать описание
Today, two cyclists arrived in Prince George after a very long bike ride. They're with the organization, 'Beyond Boarding'. It's a group of snowboarders and surfers who travel together through BC. This summer, they're cycling from Vancouver to Dease Lake. Their caravan consists of two bicycles, and a support vehicle that runs on cooking oil. This journey was inspired by their visit to the Tahltan First Nation in northern BC. That's how these athletes heard about a proposed mining project in the area. The cyclists have started a fundraising campaign to support the Tahltan's protest.
