Could Tesla's $4bn Berlin Gigafactory not happen at all? | DW News

US electric car maker Tesla plans to invest up to 4 billion dollars in its recently announced 'Gigafactory 4' outside Berlin. This could provide thousands of jobs in a region weak in industrial manufucaturing. But no legal papers have been signed yet and Tesla founder Elon Musk does have a reputation as a corporate maverick. So doubts about the project remain.

I want to stress this as much as possible so you can understand how heavily biased this video is.
People want Tesla to build Gigafactory and to drive Tesla cars.
German auto industry is pretty much in great troubles.
Internal Combustion Engines is old technology people, sooner or later you'll have to hop on this electro bandwagon.

Someone told the Tesla owner If you don't do it in GER you will see. So, the Tesla owner decided to build it in GER instead in UK (ROVER etc). So it's all politically decided EVERYTHING. Nothing is not done accidentally is the LAW OF NATURE!

I can only hope the Gigafactory 4 will not be anything like the Berlin Brandenburg airport fiasco, now heading into its 15th year toward completion. Started in 2006 with original completion set for 2011. Now set for 2020 but may even slip into 2021. Read about it, quite hilarious and pathetic. My favorites are escalators that were too short and miles of cabling that no one knew where they went or what they were for.

Make sure Tesla pays its fair share of taxes. USA companies are notorious for that.
