Great review! Glad to see those 140 watt PD ports and the 2 separate MPPT solar controllers as well. EcoFlow is really going all out with updating their entire line of power stations. I saw a review of one of the new River 3 series where the AC efficiency for loads of 100 watts was almost 95%! I guess to make the Delta 3 plus perfect, it would need two battery connectors and a 30 amp DC output, but they are 95% there. EcoFlow is also supposed to launch a new product starting today. Wonder what it will be? I suggested the EcoFlow MicroWAVE on their channel and got a few laughs:)

I did a continuity test on my EcoFlow XT-60i cables, The solar cable ties the signal pin to the ground which enables the full current, the 12v cable ties the signal pin to the hot which limits the current to the car charging current set in the app. If you made your own cable (with appropriate wire gauge) hardwired to your battery you could charge at around 400w assuming your alternator can keep it's voltage high under a 30 amp load.

AC idle consumption so high. I calculated 630wh for 24h. Delta2 uses only 200wh. I’m in Ukraine and it’s very crucial when powering fridge, wifi and lights 24/7

Some very nice improvements on this one, but come on Ecoflow give us 30A on the DC side!

My original Delta 2 stopped charging via car charger 12v. After returning 3 times it remains broke. Solar charging no problem. Customer service has been responsive.

Disappointed all these companies limit the solar input voltage to 60V, impossible to do a 3S setup. Those newpowa panels jason have been discontinued for the past year. The only panel that comes close is the Calpha 200w VOC@ 20.1V. The flipside 1000w solar for 2 inputs is a nice trade off. Kudos to ecoflow for allowing the compatibility with the previous models expanadion battery's.

Looks good hopefully they have solid after sales support their website is really spammy and way too many pop ups. An awful experience for buyers researching these units. The full capacity test results are awful I would hope for at least 90% of the rated capacity! I’m waiting to see what they do with the D3 Max and their portable panels here in a few months. I had their 200w panel and returned it because the kickstand was awful to setup and breakdown at every campsite not to mention the non adjustable legs. I’m leaning more heavily towards anker panels and stations at the moment.

Jasanoid - tell Me please about this newest Delta - I am interested in UPS - I want to run my PC that is about 1 Kw/h (crypto mining) from this Delta - how does it works out if this goes to discharge while Pc connected to this Delta - will this Delta charge up from Solar same time while using PC and while there is a plenty of Sun outside un Sunny day or charging up Delta 3 does not work while smething is connected to to this Delta 3 outlet / socket - or can use it and same time charging Delta?? Can it withstand such constant heavy crypto mining load on daily basis? Plus - how does in this case scenario will that UPS function work??

Great review. I like this unit better than any other EcoFlow so far. I especially like the solar input changes, although I do not like the dual input on the MAX, because I can not feed 1000w into it through 1000watts of panels connected in serial. I really like the low idle drain on DC with this unit. You pointed out where this did not score a perfect 10 because of the DC not being able to hit 150w for diesel heaters. One different use case is that I wish each DC output were separate so I can run 2 DC electric blankets. I guess this could also be solved by a higher total output. The thought is that I want more DC output for more freezer, CPAP, and electric blankets. I am still quite bothered that EcoFlow does not include solar cables anymore. It would not cost them that much to include it and will cost me more to buy one. They are going to the extra cost of improving solar input, so obviously they believe people care about solar. Thanks again for another great review.

So if I understand this correctly. With the addition of the dual charging inputs, If I use two XT60i charging cables connected to my 12v vehicle accessory plugs I will achieve 350w charging power which would be approx. 100w less than if I was using the Pecron smart 500w charger? With only a 100w difference, it seems like this would be the better and easier route to go comparing these two scenarios?
