The director said that the name was intentional, and that it wasnt canon to the game.

Id say go into this movie with the expectation that this is just a single iterarion, not what any minecraft movie should live up to.

Sure, its produced by mojang. But it still doesnt represent what you should think a minecraft movie should always look like

Imma be honest, I got this movie ruined by all the obnoxious teenagers in the theatre, like it was genuinely insane how little of the movie I was even able to pay attention to.

Haven't seen it but based on those who have. Seems like a fine movie. Got people who love it, got peopel who hate it. Meaning it seems more of just taste than being bad or good.

If it was truly bad, almost everyone would say so. There been enough bad movies and other things that you can tell when everyone agrees and it's not just taste. Dragon Age Veilguard for example. EVERYONE agreed how bad the writing was, how bad the forced social viewpoints was and so on.

With this people just make jokes and some people hate certain aspects, some love it and some don't care.
