When you were having trouble with the centering of the logo I'm not positive cause it's untested, but isn't that a perfect time to use a processor like SASS? Wouldn't doing something like .hamburger{width: 50px;}
span .nav-logo{ width: calc(100% + 50px);}
have worked?
