Some great stuff on this list. A ton of fantastic movies, and I never expected Maverick to top (gun) mine.

Amazing list and agree with top 6 - great callout for The Northman! Very unique and stylistic film

Pattison is a great actor and people need to let the Twilight stuff go. DiCaprio was once hated for his teen love type roles and then turned into one of the top actors and I think Pattison will do the same.

All so really enjoyed The Batman. One movie that needs to be on more lists is The Bob's Burgers Movie.

Someone mentioned Puss in Boots to me the other day, but I had no idea there was a movie! Maybe they were referencing it and not just the Shrek movies, like I thought. :p
The only 2 things I saw the entire year that were released in 2022 were The Weird Al Story and the latest Grand Tour special.

I feel like i 'took a break from Marvel' stuff this year and kind of went more 'art-house' with film this year -- skipped Avatar, Black Panther but did see Dr. Strange - watched 3 episodes of She-Hulk (which was good) but then skipped all other Disney/Marvel TV things such as Star Wars -
Everything Everywhere did the multiverse thing WAAY better than Dr. Strange.

I'd say my top 3 this year would be: 3) Tar (with Cate Blanchett - she's amazing in it) 2) Everything Everywhere! and #1) Aftersun - Vic, you may like Aftersun, as it is a father-daughter story... but it can be emotional, so be prepared! But i think it is an artfully, well done and important film. Here's to an Amazing 2023!!!

I need to thank James Cameron for helping me fully realize that I greatly prefer mid-budget movies. I think that's the sweet spot to marry good stories with creative movie making ideas and enough of a budget to give it a polish or a handful of very well thought out visual effects, stunts, ect

Never heard of “Everything, Everywhere, all at once, ” after seeing your take on it I’m definitely gonna be adding it to the list!

Also, I need to give Batman another go. I fell asleep watching it the first time (father, young kids, haha).

Great list!

I thought Dr. Strange 2 was really good as well. I didn't understand where the criticism was coming from, it was basically a Marvel horror movie and it was really cool and gripping and even shocking at times.
