You may have done this but a couple observations.

Run car a few minutes down the street to warm up oil so it flows out as much as possible.

Put a little oil on the seal of the oil filter - hand tight. 3/4 rule is fine but observe the next couple days. Like you said don’t over tighten. Use common sense.

When using additives deduct for the amount of additive for oil you are adding. Dip Stick will let you know anyway.

I have never taken rhe wheel off to change the oil but I like this method and will try it. I like to rotate tires during oil changes anyway so not an extra step for me. Thanks for the video.

This engine only takes 4.25 quarts of oil according to the factory manual (not 5 as you mention)

You never tighten an oil filter "as tight as you can by hand"... Tighten till the seal makes contact and then about 3/4turn more. If you over tighten (even by hand) you flatten the seal and eventually it will cause it to leak.

I drive a 5the gen 2000 Nissan Maxima you don't have to take your wheel off to change the oil. what you need to do is turn your wheel all the way to the right and you can reach the filter with ease. I change my oil at least 15 plus time just turn the wheel. Still a good vid.

Any recommendations on products for an oil flush and engine cleaner for inside?

I wanna ask, my moms car has a bad valve cover leak, so yesterday i made sure to check the oil before we had go somewhere and of course there was barely anything on the dipstick. So perfect timing i put in 2 qts of oil + the lucas stop leak. Now what I just want to ask, is it possible to change the filter without draining the engine. Bc i had planned to do an engine flush to help get any bad residue out but I didnt have time to do all of that yesterday. Can i at least change the filter today after i recheck the oil levels on the dipstick for her?
