In this episode of "Summary Under 10 Minutes", we will cover the summary of the poem, "The Tale of Custard the Dragon", for 10th grade in under 10 minutes.

The poem "The Tale of Custard the Dragon" is found in Chapter 9 of the CBSE Class 10 English First Flight book. Ogden Nash wrote this poem in the form of a ballad that tells a story. Ballads are written to tell stories of bravery or heroism.

This is a humorous ballad that presents a piece of writing in a humorous manner. This poem depicts a young girl named Belinda and her numerous pets. She has given the black kitten the name Ink, the grey mouse the name Blink, the yellow dog the name Mustard, and the coward dragon the name Custard. All of these characters are beautifully described by the poet in the poem. Except for the dragon, he claims that they are all very brave. When the dragon saves everyone from a pirate attack on Belinda's house, his perception changes.
