I think YouTube did not think this all the way through. For one thing educational channels created for kids in mind should not be demonetized. Kids aren’t looking for that content. Parents and teachers are! I’ve been in classrooms and schools and teachers use YouTube all the time! It’s so discouraging that they put all these rules on my channel. 🥺

2. Reduce amount of videos per week
3. Look to maximize affiliate revenue
4. Add merch to your site
5. Create your own mobile add
6. Create a youtube members' area
7. sign up for crowd sourcing
8. Create another channel that's not kids oriented
9. Create more channels.


So basically, to make money on a youtube kid's channel... you don't use a youtube kids channel.

I'm a professional animator and made a youtube channel for my 1 year old son. I included him into my animations with green screen shooting. It was really hard to shoot nice moments in front of the green screen but I'm happy with the results. I'm also using licensed educational songs in those videos. At the end even tho if the channel can't make a hit, it will be a good memory for him I guess. He's now 2 years old.

Tip number 1, leave YouTube. Income earned from a 'KIDS' video with 300.000 views is $20. This is why all the 'KIDS' producers left the site. Your title is a tad off the subject, but hey clickbait is where it's at.
