According to one report (via the official site Oscars.org), James Franco is one of six people to do double duty as an Oscar host (or co-host) and a nominee the same year. The last time was in 1987 when Paul Hogan was nominated for a screenwriting award for "Crocodile Dundee" and co-hosted the ceremony. Others include Michael Caine, Walter Matthau, David Niven and director/writer Frank Capra. Niven and Capra were the only hosts to win the Oscar at the same ceremony.
