I’ve been head over heels for Arnold since I discovered him. The first time I ever saw Arnold was when my brothers their friends were in our living room eating pizza and watching ‘Predator.” I was probably 15 years old and my brothers were both younger than me. Every weekend they weren’t playing football or baseball they got together and watched what I called really dumb action movies. I was much more interested in reading books and fashion magazines. My mom left when I was about 8 and my brothers were 6 and 4 respectively. My dad was devastated! I had to take over many responsibilities around the house. Many a bloody chicken was cooked in those days before one of my best friends moms took me under her wing and taught me to cook properly. Dad knew how to grill some things and he’d put tv dinners into the oven a lot too. By the time I was 12 years old I could probably out cook Julia Child or Martha Stewart. Our home was sparkling clean and my brothers always had clean clothes.
I was too mature really for my age in every way except sexually. My Dad was extremely protective of me as were my brothers and practically the whole damn town! It was a small town and most people knew our story and felt lots of sympathy for us. My dad started taking us to church all the time after mom left. People were very kind to our little family. Our church was a family of its own. It was a good kind family and nothing like the hypocrites you meet today. I was a brilliant student in school. There was no subject too difficult for me. Dad was very proud of me and I was also a great musician. I played a trombone because my cousins mom had bought one for my bone headed cousin who bored of band after a year. It was free and so it’s what I had. My dad told me he’d buy me the flute I wanted if I did well on the trombone.
I was first chair in no time and was recruited to play with the high school band before I even got junior high. I never did get my flute though. We had about 20 girls on flute in our 100 pupil band and 8 trombone players. We had 12 trumpets, one tuba, lots of clarinets and lots of drum players. I keep digressing.
Even though I hated action movies, I was drawn into the film by that incredible body of Arnold’s. I remember being mesmerized by his personality and his strength. It was probably love at first sight. I still love that movie “Predator” but endured a lot of his crap movies only to see him. My favorite movies of Arnold’s are:

Commando (sure it’s dumb but it’s still fun)
Kindergarten Cop
Twins
True Lies (one of the best acting performances he ever made. It’s also one of the best movies in the action genre.)

The Last Stand
He has made a lot of great action movies and some outstanding science fiction movies. He is an amazing human being in every way. He’s my fave action star. He’s definitely one of my favorite actors in general. I’ve had a poster of his from Muscle Fitness magazine for about 30 years. I had it taped to the back of my closet door for many years. I took it on my overseas deployment with the US Army as a soldier. It reminded me to work out 💪. It is currently folded up neatly in my art studio. If I ever get the chance, I’d love for Arnold to sign it for me.
