Basic question no one has ever answered, so we disregarded it and move on, accepting life as is without the full truth, and accepting that this reality is based on balance, meaning suffering and misery is part of the equation.

We are so insignificant in the grand schemes of the universe, yet we consider ourselves unique. So would every conscious aliens out there.

I don't think it's wrong to say that our purpose here is just to live. To exist briefly and take in what circumstance allows. See things and try to understand them, learn from those that came before us and teach those that come after. We are the universe experiencing itself, and if we're the only conscious life in the universe, there's truly no truer calling than to be. As well as you can, as long as you can, with the most positive impact on others as you can.
