Have a SCAG Turf Tiger. 19 years of old. Good machines, but could never justify the new ones at over 17k. But if I was going into commercial business of mowing...it would be my first choice.

I have the new cheetah 2 and turf tiger 2 and the original cheetah 1 too and we love our scags

I've heard a lot of good reviews of scag mowers at any speed you mow with it always does a great cut vs the other zero turn mowers

I would mostly see these at my school on Tuesday and honestly really awesome!

On my second Scag Turf Tiger first one lasted 20 years 4339hrs and two 27 horsepower Kawasaki liquid cooled engines not much else major a bad muffler and and of course the electric deck clutches. My only reason to upgrade the one pump was whining for over a year when second engine was shot. I bought the new Turf Tiger 2. I like twin pumps and twin wheel motors so I stayed with the Turf Tiger over a transaxle models, which I hear they don't repair they only replace. My only complaint both units weight a lot be careful of compaction around the trees. Prices 20 years ago 10500 the 2020 was 15500. Oh I forgot the new velocity deck has a lot of deck more blowout I use a vac system in the fall the old advantage deck was better.

Shop around some. I bought mine last year. Turf tiger 2 with 37 hp efi motor. $13, 500.

Very nice machine! I looked at that very one but it was out of my price range. I ended up with a Gravely pro turn 160. I have .66 acre and probably haft of that is yard. 10 minutes and I'm all done. No such thing as overkill!

I own two scags for my landscaping business a tiger cat 2 and a vride2 both 52 inch decks with 26 hp I think. Great machines. Your machine is top of the mower food chain, to have as a homeowner is way overkill!! That machine should be making you 12k a month, hey if you can afford that for your home then kudos sir👍🏻

Your right on point with your speeds. 16 for cheetah and 12 for turf tiger. Most guys get that wrong.

Right, I think you have a good combination, and the type of grass, I have Fetsuca Rubra, Creeping red and over the leech field this gets Very Thick ! I may in a year or two upgrade to a larger engine !

I used one of these before an the stripping it does makes yards look good

I love those stripes, Keep up the good work man

IT'LL CUT LIKE THAT A SCAG IT'S A MONSTER

That's a great mower. But I believe this mower and the Cheetah 2 are basically the same mower. Both have the Velocity Plus deck. Both have the same engine speed and blade speed. Even though the Cheetah 2 WILL go 16 MPH, you can't really mow at that speed. That is for moving the mower from one location to the other. This mower is a couple hundred pounds heaver and has a drive shaft as opposed to the drive belt of the Cheetah 2. Shouldn't really affect the cut quality though. I believe this mower costs a couple thousand bucks more as it's built a bit beefier. I also like the tiger stripes on the fenders better than the Cheetah.
timstegall
Both models only cut at 12mph. The cheetah has a high gear that runs 18 I think but won’t cut in that gear.
brentjacobs
1:22 That's the model number for the deck, not the mower. The mower's model number is on the frame next to the engine.
troykelso
The Ford model T only had 20 hp. This thing is a monster!

I have a 54" Kawasaki, great torque, but this is 24 HP, a 730V engine if you want to look up the specs. This is a Bad Boy entry level commercial, and I have Heavy grass in the back acre and I think it cannot handle the load, I think a 31 hp would be better.
