Showed my wife the ISS in a similar fashion. Knew the time and spot it would appear and asked her to come outside. Blew her mind when I explained what we were looking at. Astronomy is such a rewarding hobby.

If you can get a relatively cheap night vision device, and find a spot with minimal ambient light, you can watch all night as sattalites and other space stuff orbits throughout the night and you can also see WAY more stars in the night sky. Truly the best entertainment!!

The iss is one of my favorite things to see at night, along with other satellites

I saw your video yesterday. Tracked the ISS. Found out it's gonna be visible today, I watched it early in the morning. Thank you.
It was spectacular. As an astrophile, it was heartwarming to watch humanity's greatest accomplishment with my own eyes.

For anyone wondering NASA has an ISS tracker on their website that'll give you dates and times it's going to be overhead after you select your area. Got a good 14 minutes the last three days lol. I start work early and ill have everyone outside looking up.

If you don't count Montgolfier, the Wright brothers, Sputnik, Yuri Gagarin, Alan Shepard etc. etc., it *is* our first step to exploring space.

The ISS passed over my house in Arkansas a few months ago. Coolest thing I’ve ever seen. Just gliding across my back yard.

It really did cost all of us a penny 😂

If you miss it, dont worry. It orbits every 90 minutes, so there are 16 shows per day. Youre bound to get another chance soon.

For anyone wondering how to know when to look, there are plenty of websites available to track the ISS. I use spot the station on my phone.

I saw the shuttle chasing behind the iss once! I was coaching a little league game & informed ump to stop play so both teams could view it as it whisked by

first of all--this man is so underrated
second the iss is a joy to look at as it shows how far we have journeyed

For some reason, this reminds me of the time the guy who was able to have radio communication with the ISS from his own radio he built from home.

Last week i sat in a park in germany, with my date. We were watching the stars and also saw some satelites. I showed him what jupiter, mars and venus are in the night sky and he was super fascinated. Then whatever he asked me about one star about 45° over the horizon and i told him i had no clue. The thing is, we watched it over and over again, just to notice its position is always slightly changing, but in all direcrions. Also it was as big as jupiter, if not bigger. But all slowly af. Like for 2 hours it was bound to one area, but inside it changed. I looked it up but never found something. We also diddnt saw it again in the last days
