Josh bro! I wanted to say you being from one of the leading companies in crawling and giving a compliment to another company shows how good vanquish and you guys really are! This video truly made me think about what a great hobby this really is! Great great video here and the editing with music and all was all that!!! 🎉

The truck looks so good now, and I really enjoyed getting a quick glimpse of the 3D printing process of this mod.

This is one of my favorite releases so far this year. My first crawler ever was a gen8 axe. I'm definitely ordering one of these

And Retract enters the arena….only a few more big names to go tell the mini market has taken over, price point is king and the minis are the gate way drug of the hobby. Got me hooked….big time, now I have almost all the scales (1/32-1/10). The crew and I made a fun club too😎.

You too can do this at home if you are a genius engineer with a 3d scanner and printer. Awesome just awesome!

The only complaint I could make about the Redcat - Ascent 18 is the front axle does not have replaceable c-hubs. So once the c-hubs bushings develop slop & need replaced, the entire front axle housing has to be replaced. It also means there is no way to install aluminum or brass c-hubs for more durability. Just a minor gripe but certainly expectable for a budget level crawler in all honesty.

Nice to see one being built right out of the gate, but what really makes your videos stand out are the cameos by the cats

Nice little rig by redcat. It's good to see other companies coming out with small-scale rigs. Now we just need one by my favorite brand... Vanquish!

That will be a perfect sized rig for the indoor course you seen us working on at A- Main's new race complex a couple days ago.

I bought a gen9 about a month ago. Had one shock go when I lost the lower cup, the shifting servo went bad, and I lost the front passenger u joint. I'm still gonna keep her 😂. Company was good about sending out parts.

Something that I found looked wrong about the body is the low hanging/ extended skirts. I figure they did it to reach down far enough to meet the tops of the skids. But really made it look like the body was an after thought. Made the cab look out of proportion. Your cage mod, however, did a nice job of remedying that, somehow without trimming the skirts back. Well done. 2-3 hours I think one could hand build that out of styrene or ABS or Acrylic rod in much less time. But, hey, if tech is yer jam, it's yer toast. :) Looks super cool!

Mid you mentioned "how long will the stock plastic transmission gears last?"
I immediately thought of Josh, 10 years ago (I've followed you for even

And I imagined that would have taken you less than 10 seconds to thrash that gearbox!! 😮

You were the guy who frequently broke Wraiths and Bombers. 😅😅😅😅

Great upgrade video! I just don't know if I like micros. I have an SCX24 Deadbolt and a TRX-4M Bronco, but they mostly stay up on the peg board.I even shoveled out a micro 4x4 trail out in my backyard, but it only held my interest for a few weeks it seemed. Funny thing is, living in the midst of the flat farmlands of Carthage MO(I know you can relate), it'd be easier to present challenges for micro crawlers, but 1/10 scale just feels more substantial. Now, if only I could dig down and find caverns under my land! 😂
