Imo don't quit your job for a couple years until you've grown your counting side hustle enough where it makes sense. You may decide like me to keep it as a serious side hustle to diversify your income.

The same logic here can be applied to playing poker professionally depending on the stakes one wants to play. The small difference is between the two is that if you at an ap, you may have to travel more frequently due to the casino most likely backing off an ap where poker is played amongst others instead of the against the house.

So I’ve found and refined my game to a point I know I can go full time if I liked. Calling cards as they’re dealt at the end of the shoe making good deviations like staying on a 12 with a dealer up 2. I’ve just found that pulling out a few hundred and doubling or getting close to is best for me. It lets me pay for my other hobbies without feeling guilty by using my normal salary. I’ve also only played for about 2 years but I feel my skill has gotten leaves better from the start.

Dont gamble guys. I tried and tried and tried. I've lost everything. I've been suicidal over it all. It's just not worth it. Getting too addicted is real and once you are, it's too late. Just don't gamble.
