Glee helped me through my mental illness so much when I was younger. And even years later, this song I remember listening to on the bus with tears in my eyes because it was the only thing that soothed me and made me feel empowered after exiting an abusive relationship and so I would play it on repeat. Nayas voice was like no others. I fell in love with her character on Glee and I hope her and Cory are taking care of each other now. Rest in peace baby girl, knowing your son will be taken care of because of the loving family and friends you provided him.

I was 18 when I first saw this, I was having one of the worst years of my life. Due to personal circumstances, I couldn't visit my family in the USA or travel there. Finally, out of nowhere, that got fixed. And when I got to New York, and saw NYC for the first time, I swear I thought of this scene so many times. I was 28, just a couple of months ago. I had been through so much, but I was finally there, left everything behind and became a girl on fire. Glee might get a lot of criticism, but it was a magical show that taught many of us how to dream and never give up, and I thank my life I grew up with it. Also, Naya's voice here is a powerhouse. May she rest in power and in our hearts. ♥
