DITCH THE MANUAL CHECK IN! Use a SharePoint List to digitally check in your guests at your next event.

Do you manually check in guests for your events—then need someone to consolidate all of that data and input it back into Excel? Save time by digitally checking your guests in. All your check-ins can be updated in real-time with no need for manually data entry after your event.

I was recently at an event where there were two full binders of check in sheets. Those sheets were most likely generated from a CSV or Excel file and then printed out. Not only were they printed out once… but twice to make the check in more efficient. Ironically the inefficiency lies in the fact that someone will need to manually go through both binders to enter the data back INTO Excel 🤦‍♀️.

With a SharePoint list you can take the manual work out of the check in process. Check your guests in digitally with a laptop 💻 or on a mobile device through the Microsoft Lists app📱.

I would like to note that Microsoft List app IS pretty clunky 🫣, but you can quickly search for a guest—view their details and most importantly check them in! That’s It! NO MORE MANUAL DATA ENTRY! 🎉 I’m not in any way saying that SharePoint lists can replace any sort of event check in platform, I’m suggesting that smaller companies that host smaller scale events should give it SharePoint Lists a try! Especially if you are already on the Microsoft 365 platform.
