This session with IRISS, NHS Healthcare Improvement Scotland, and the Centre for Public Impact explored how the Human Learning Systems approach can help leaders navigate complex crises in health and social care in Scotland, and what the HLS approach asks of leaders in these situations. Those with any form of management or leadership responsibility - at all levels, and in all contexts - must be able to navigate crises, to ensure that services support people well. At such times of crisis, there is a need to move quickly. But how can we make sure there is space and time for the learning and deep thinking that is vital for effectively managing such situations?
