Going to the Worst vs Best Nail Salon in my City **BEYOND AWFUL** (one hand each)

I decided to find the worst nail salon that was still in business in my city. After hours of research, I found one and knew it would be bad, but this was beyond what I imagined. Thankfully I went to the highest rated salon afterward to fix the damage, but little did I know the long term consequences of my decisions going to the bad nail salon afterwards. Don't try this experiment, it's not worth it!!

Ok, I hate to mess with people's money. But, at this point it's a matter of health and safety. So, I vote for the first nail salon to be shut down. 😬

The blue liquid is Capramin, it is a hemostatic agent for stopping blood. The liquid not only quickly copes with capillary bleeding, it also has bactericidal properties, which allows manicurists to ensure safe work with the client. From where I'm from every nail tech has it.

I truly appreciate your commitment to test out both salons. The first salon is the reason I became a licensed nail tech. I was always unhappy about the shape and overall quality of my nails. I started at home learning how to operate with the products before I went to school. I am very happy I gained knowledge of the chemicals and nail health. I saw so many things that was cringe worthy at the first one. They didn’t wipe or sanitize the tables, she did not replace the sanding band once she broke your skin, she was supposed to know that was antiseptic in the bottle, and so many other little things. One of the things that really bothered my spirit was that the first place charges by the shape! I can understand if you wanted them to be extra long but a shape, that’s absurd.

The blue liquid looked like Styptic! It’s an anticoagulant some techs use in the salon. But the cut should be disinfected before putting that on. Not that the cut should have ever happened 😭

That first place, so many red flags: can't do a design they advertise, dirty, doesn't know what's in the liquid they use for cuts. Sounds like a very amateur operation. I agree they should be shut down.

The first salon was like wtf???? I went to a nail salon for about the same price as the first one in this vid, and while the place was small, loud, and quite cramped, the nail tech was absolutely amazing and was patient with my nails despite the chaos going on around me hahaha. She made sure to ask me if I was fine with every step she took, and gave me more than enough chances to make changes according to my taste. My nail tech really did her best to recreate what I wanted with the limited materials she had and I was very very happy with the end product. While the location and overall condition of the store gave me stress, I would legit go back just for the quality of the nails and the very amazing staff.

So it makes me kinda angry that the first nail tech in this video was just absolutely trash, even attitude-wise. I would be crying in frustration having to deal with that.

I've definitely been to nail salons before where I just stopped, & said no thank you. One time a lady glued my tips on crooked & wanted to proceed. I was like if she cannot tell that it's crooked then forget it. 😂

Idk how they are still open if they have such bad reviews, maybe being a nail artis isn’t for them but over all they should just try something different and you were so FRICKING nice like- your amazing ♥️

I'm a nail tech and I'm always scared of seeing these kinds of videos, you can end up loosing an entire finger if you get an injury and the place is dirty enough to cause an infection, I'll watch the video and let an opinion, I just hope it's not that terrible...
EDIT: OH MY GOD. Some nail techs will use a liquid called hemostyl, but the best way is to clean and apply pressure to stop any kind of bleeding, the powder everywhere and product can cause allergies... The sanding block looked disgusting, oh my God... I don't know how you managed to stay till the end, that is not appropriate service at all!! At least it wasn't as terrible as I had seen... But at any sign of infection you MUST go to the ER, it can turn ugly and the 5 star place shouldn't have done anything else to that already hurt nail =/

I’ve had the blue liquid before. You’re safe. Also the tiny drill bit is for what she was using it for but obviously she wasn’t using it correctly. The only problem I see with the 4.8 ⭐️ salon is the pointer and middle finger are different widths and that drives me crazy

The only issue I have with vids like this is the potential for exactly what happened at the first salon. I think comparing and contrasting the the differences between different salons and/or nail techs is _really_ interesting, and for the most part, I'm here for it, but like, you guys... _please_ be careful. It's all 💩 and 😄 until Super-sepsis joins the chat. 😕

Omg ! I’m a nail artist . I am shocked that first place charged extra $5 for “square “ shape (!) it’s not even coffin.
A lot of things to say but anyway.. I hope your finger is better .
Also green liquid is “magic touch “ it’s stop bleeding immediately and ingredients are,

as a wannabe nail tech, charging for the coffin shape SHOULD be extra cause it takes a lot more work than square. also showing up 10 minutes late for your appointment may not seem like a lot for you, but it's a lot for the tech. a lot of them schedule clients back-to-back and you showing up late ruins their whole day schedule. Edit: another point if the first place wasn't so sketchy and awful the making someone pay before the nails are done CAN be a good thing cause a lot of people try to scam them and not pay for their nails when the nails look good (but ofc the first place was awful and shouldn't do that)
