Founded in 1884 on the quays of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, the Bénéteau yard has crossed successive eras and generations by placing innovation at the heart of its development.
From the first fishing boats that Benjamin Bénéteau insisted on fitting with engines to the latest models, it’s incredible how far Bénéteau has come.

The Beneteau story began more than 130 years ago when Benjamin Bénéteau started building fishing trawlers in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, France. Today, Beneteau has grown to over twenty manufacturing facilities in France, Italy, Brazil and the United States and has become the worldwide leader in sailboats manufacturing. The Beneteau product lines now include sailboats Oceanis, First and Sense, and powerboats Gran Turismo, Swift Trawler, Barracuda and Monte Carlo.
