In my mind...and I know it's only my mind...music reached its pinnacle the day I heard this work of art. Bless you Beck x

Oh my God, the love I have for both David Bowie and Beck... it compounds the magic ten fold ... When they slow it down in the middle, it reminds me of the feel of Morning Phase ❣️❣️❣️Beck is one of the very best live performers I have ever seen, and I've seen him several times. 1st was at jabberjaw with That Dog in the 😄🤘😜

In 7.5 billion years when the sun expands and consumes this Earth, David Bowie will still have been ahead of his time.

I was there, working with the 360 camera crew. I am so thankful that you put this up, as I refer back to it from time to time whenever I need a lift. This version of this this song is part of the soundtrack of my 20 year career in virtual reality filmmaking.

Listening to this again a few years later. Beck has *extensive* musical knowledge - traditional Western orchestral instruments, Alpine horns, a yodeler (!), Chinese instruments, a gospel choir... you don't just say "hey, let's do something different", you have to THINK about this. Aside from the fact it's an amazing cover, it showcases his deep knowledge and his respect for music.

it’s even cooler knowing it’s his dad conducting the orchestra

I'm seeing this for the first time in 2023. He's really talented. I bought Mellow Gold when it came out, and he remains interesting.

One of the best live performances ever. I'm sure David was proud. He loved Beck.

Quite possibly the most moving live performance ever. It moves me to tears. What a climatic end.

I was introduced to Bowie 10 years ago by my dad. Soon after he died, our music class watched this and I cried and I wasn't the only one. Being a musician at age 14 now, I realize how much music can really affect people and mold your feelings. Bowie was a legend ⚡️

This is the most underrated Bowie songs. Beck's take on it has given me chills. Love Bowie and love Beck.

I swear in a few hundred years Bowie will be revered like Motzart !!

This is like a 9 minute thesis on why Beck should have done the Bowie tribute at the Grammys.

He should be nicknamed the musical chameleon. What musical genre has he not been influenced by and not incorporated into an album. Releases his own unique material while also paying homage to the great artists who influenced him. How can you not appreciate that!

I can image how powerful it was to be in this room, I wish I was there. What a beautiful tribute to David Bowie!!

Tremendous. I have been a Bowie fan all my life and I am now 51. I have always thought of him as 'Bowie', yet from the moment I read of his death he has been 'David' in my minds eye...like I had lost a friend.

I’ve watch this several times. I use to be a musician. Now I’m I work in an office. Every so often when I return to this video, it brings me to tears. I don’t know. I feel like I am wasting away not being creative any more. I love this video.

Amazing and beautiful. In contrast, what makes Bowie's version so great is that it is so short and simple, the song always ends before you want it to!
