As Jason Cammisa said, the M2 has a monster third gear. It just starts to walk the Mustang at that point.

"Closer than you think" Really? It didn't look that way to me. It looked like the M2 convincingly trounced the Mustang. The M2 would've probably beaten the Dark Horse Mustang.

Really wish more channels would do just Autos vs Autos. This along with the Hagerty video has both m2 and mustang with manuals. I think the m2 would still edge out but an auto will test how well the car performs not how well the driver performs.

I thought it might be closer than this with the NA Mustang getting a slight jump at the beginning of each pull but the BMW literally has no lag. Amazing.

The GT needs the performance package which bumps the rear diff gears from 3.27 to 3.73s. That's why the gears are so long in that GT.

I'm not a major fan of the late model screen dash setups, can't see them aging well if any of these cars become classics.
Seems like a lower ratio diff in the stang be better.

Well for sure all M cars are 50 to 60 hp underrated. Seen stock numbers.

Wow. The beamer kept walking throughout. I thought maybe the stang would creap up at higher speed. Didn't appear so. Neat cars. Both haul the mail.
