I have learned a lot from my friends from Russia who live now in Novi Sad, my home town. They are not an average Russian family. They bought 4 apartments here and run a small company. They said that an average salary in Russia is about 700e and in Moscow it could be around 900-1000e. Renting in Moscow is pretty expensive. Pensions of their parents and most the retired people are extremely low about 150-200 USD so most of people have to help their parents. Serbia had 10 years of a total sanctions which is not the case with Russia and our economy was on a brink of collapse. We are not part of EU and are pretty much alone in our efforts to improve economy. I am pretty much sure that Russia should be economically strong as at least as Canada not to be compared with Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia which is the case now. Serbia is in the heart of Europe, close to Greece, Italy, Austria, Turkey, Mediterenean seas, great ski centres of Kopaonik, Žabljak, Jahorina, Bansko. Winters are mild and you can enjoy sunny weather almost 300 days a year. People are friendly to all strangers and we concider Russians not like imigrants but our brothers and sisters. Go learning srpski jezik, integrate more with locals and make your stay here great.
