Let’s understand in detail what the IVF steps!

👉🏼Assessment of ovarian reserve and uterus – This step in an IVF procedure helps to analyse the number of eggs in the woman’s ovaries, the health of the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, etc. This helps in developing a good treatment plan.
👉🏼Ovarian stimulation using hormones – In this procedure, the woman is given different types of injections for a few days to stimulate her ovaries to develop mature eggs that can be used for IVF.
👉🏼Trigger and Ovum Pick-up – In this step of IVF, mature eggs are retrieved/collected from the ovaries for fertilisation with sperm.
👉🏼Endometrium Preparation – This step is performed to make the conditions inside the uterus conducive for a successful embryo transfer leading to implantation and pregnancy. The patient is given progesterone and estrogen to prepare the endometrium.
👉🏼Embryo Transfer – This is the final step in an IVF, where the good-quality embryos prepared in a laboratory are transferred to the woman’s uterus for implantation.

If all these procedures are completed successfully and implantation occurs, then a woman can have a healthy pregnancy through the IVF procedure.
