Taken r at a time
Total no. Of combination=

Example:
For n=5
r=3
Then total no. Of combination
=5(5-1)(5-2)/3!
=5(4)(3)/3x2x1
=10.

We have 5 given 5 objects and we have to take 3 at a time. Now total number of arrangements we can make of 3 letters is npr . Now among those npr arrangements or permutations how many combinations of a particular 3 letters can we make . For that we have to divide total arrangements or total permutations by the number of letter taken at a time that is 3! . Hence the formula of combination comes npr/r! Which is equal to n!/r!(n-r)!... Hope u like my explanation..❤️
