Okay, the character had one good song. This just feels like they're trying too hard to cash in on that popularity YEARS later... Honestly, do we really care? Did we even care enough back then? Agatha has just a villain. Now, sure, you can make a compelling villain story, but... can Disney? Sorry but Agatha doesn't really have that pull that Loki did, and Loki had redeeming qualities on top of being active in the overall MCU, so we never had the chance to forget him like we did with Agatha, and I did forget Agatha.
Personally, I'm wondering where is Vision 2.0? The other half of the original show Wanda-Vision, did DIsney forget they left that plot hole flying up and away somewhere? Agatha doesn't matter. I don't care about her. She served her purpose. We don't need a continuation of her story. We need to know about Vision. I don't care if Agatha's song topped the charts when it premiered. I mean, it was fun! It was, but that was because it hit at the right time within the show. One well done song is NOT a reason to franchise a character, especially when you ignore the actual plot threads that have been established!
It really is clear that Disney has NO Plans. They don't care about Marvel or Star Wars; they care only about the money and attention they get from those brand names. Story and plot don't matter, characters don't matter, so I don't care. There's no respect for the legacy so I'm done. They've subverted my expectations into the ground. Pretty sure they're so low they're either at or in the mantle because the crust busted long ago. Sad thing is... I want to love Marvel, but I can't enjoy the MCU anymore. I want to enjoy Star Wars too, but Disney just doesn't care about the stories. They hire people seemingly at random and only when we get good creatives do we get good shows, ya know, the kind of people who focus on story-telling and NOT trying to drive away audiences. Disney is just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. There's no roadmap to any bigger event. They're just desperately chasing trends for profit, and that's sad.
You know... maybe once upon a time, I might've been excited to follow a dark witch villain, but there have been too many loose ends left that aren't getting answered and half-assed projects put out there for me to care. I'm glad I got to see Loki follow through his story and tie things together, and I wish Disney would care half as much as that team did to do the same with all their franchises, shows and movies.
