I find confusing the fact that people in the comment only talk about how civil the conversation is, and do not focus on the arguments which are the most important thing of the encounter.

Gas was cheap. If gas is cheap trucks deliver goods cheaper.

If gas is expensive then the cost to transport goods goes up and so does the cost of the goods.

Talking heads are not needed

The government is inefficient with money. If a program's budget becomes tight, the often proposed solution is to ask for more funding rather than look to reduce costs.
