Fun Fact: his hopup'd needler is actually a variant of it in Halo Infinite Campaign, obtained when defeated a High Value Target of the Banished - Writh Kul (Also known as Pinpoint Needler, and that thing is a literal homing SMG)

One thing that people seem to miss from this gun is, how slow the projectile is. Though the homing could be op (or not), at long range this gun is useless (unless I missed something here)

I like the stick mechanic. The hop up seems reasonable since octaine bang blood and maggy and rev are fast in their own way

One thing that I would recommend to make the explosion more accurate is have its time increase each time a needle hits. If a full clip hits, trigger a second explosion right after the first.

Ideas for balancing the weapon:

Mag size: 24-36
Fire frequency: 10Hz. (10 projectiles per second)
Projectile speed: 2x player running speed
Projectile damage: 1hp
Projectile Blast Timer: 2s
Projectile Blast Damage: 2hp
Projectile Blast Radius: 3m

Information:
-> Weapon ammo is rare to find.

-> Max damage on 1 player in 1 reload: 72hp-108hp (mag-dependant)
-> Projectile tracks decoy, drones, and any player-made entity.
-> Projectile stops tracking when detecting an entity in 1m radius by continuing in a straigth path.
-> Hiphop improves tracking range like in this video but the projectile still stops when detects an entity in 1m radius.
-> Dodging should be easy so the only reason that weapon would hit you is if you probably weren't looking or too close.
-> Not good for close combat at all as a typical punch would be more effective there.
-> The reason the damage is so low is because the weapon could deal blast damage in a 3m radius to nearby players.

As you can see, I made it as useless as possible. It's like shooting very very fragile arcstars that track people then stop when close enough.

I guess it'd still be fun to play with or against it.

That's not really how the needler works though. The explosion only occurs if enough needles hit the enemy, landing a handful of needles does not cause any excess damage like this gun does.

Could imagine this being annoying if it was actually added, imagine wiping a full squad on low HP then getting blown up by the detonation.

Is there any way of making a gun that shoots gravity star like projectiles that pulls people towards it? That could be fun.

I feel they need to make it where if you land a certain amount of shots it turns into a super combine and then explodes rather then every shot. But it's a good rendition in apex

To me, it is actually balamced.
If we master movement with some guns, then it is pretty similar to how this works.

It is like a hop-up NEXT TO an already existing movement mechanics in my opionion.
