You can't bring Ukraine into NATO in the middle of a war, because NATO is supposed to be a deterrent, and it can't be a deterrent if the war has already started. However, once Russia is defeated and Ukraine's territorial integrity is restored, then, absolutely, Ukraine should join NATO.

Maybe Turkey wants to encourage the Nato to strike a peaceful deal to end the war in Ukraine. Nato and US should stop thinking of defeating Russia. Putin too, should stop thinking of defeating Ukraine and leave the areas he occupied if given enough garantees of Ukraine not joining Nato.
