One of Iceland's most beautiful mountains, Skjaldbreiður

Hello everybody! Hope you’re doing great and are in the mood to learn more about a very interesting geological event that happened in Iceland about 9000 years ago. The creation of Skjaldbreiður. I’ll be telling you all you need to know about Skjaldbreiður, how the mountain formed and if it’ll do something in the future. But I think the RagNar isn’t dead. And my prediction of a larger eruption is still Bardabunga or these days I think often what Hekla will do.

Im always looking for Skjaldbreiöur here on the horizon around Borgarnes. Its only a few spots between the higher mountains you can see it from this area but unmistakable once you do.

Hlidarmenn, it’s so funny that we all talk about these Volcanos as if they where alive or a real person. You live on a volcanic Island, what do you feel if you look at Hekla or Katla or Bardabunga?
