Arrma Kraton EXB V2 6s front diff replacement

In this video AJ works the replacement for the Kraton EXB V2 front diff. One battery in on our test run the drive cup shattered, but for no apparent reason. Having experienced issues with the EXB versions in the past, we have never seen this failure happen to one yet. Come along and see how easy a repair of this nature can be.

They made those longer to try and fix the issue of the driveshafts popping out but I don’t think they considered the stress it put on them. You’re not the only one that had this issue. Thankfully Arrma listens to their customers and will address this problem if it gets out of hand! Great video as always!

U just made my life easier I was contemplating selling my kraton cause I blew a front diff and my hobby shop wanted a lot to money to fix it plus part cost so in a couple of weeks I will be getting the parts and fixing it my self

I've been subscribed for a long time and absolutely love the content! That has to be a manufacturing or product fault, just like you said this NEVER should of happened and it's actually kind of sad but that's the hobby! I remember the version ones having drive cup issues hitting the front a arm and popping out. Dang there's gotta be a better design here or something they can figure out.

Thanks for the video I love my Kraton I had problem with the front drive cups too first 5 mins got a warranty done other side ended up breaking after it got fixed also bent a few front driveshafts

Great video! I recently got one in a rc trade and haven’t been able to run it just yet it needs some maintenance. Looks like a beast tho it has a castle creations motor and mamba X esc along with some proline badlands and other upgrades. I traded a Trx4m for it. The exact same thing happen to my new Kraton exb 6s. Second time out it broke the right drive cup just like yours did. and I wasn't even bashing hard. I also had to buy the whole diff to fix it.

Just so others know. The cup can be replaced by itself, no need to buy a whole diff for this break. You can get better cups made by m2c or vitavon.

Hello and ty for the great vids! I keep stripping the little pieces off the back of the planetary gears inside my front and rear diffs. I have now gone thru about 10 of them. Any ideas on how to prevent this? TYIA!

In my case, the whole outdrive cup broke off from the front diff in the first week I purchase the kraton 6s exb v2. I wasn't even bashing it at all. The car was on 6s battery, with upgraded hobbywing max8 g2s and 4278 2250kv motor, and 13T pinion gear. A bit of a shock to me.

yeah for me the shimming was not needed for the diff and the lash gear. Only thing I shimmed a little tighter was the outdrive cups to remove some side to side slop. now it moves only a hair if that..

This exact issue just happened to me. Kraton 6s exb v2 same exact location and everything. Landed a mild jump on front end and it shattered. Should not have broken so easily. I was on my 7th pack. Maybe 2 hours on the truck. I don't drive it like the youtube content creators. I bash it but within reason. Very frustrating

So how to fix that problem with cups? Keep braking one of the cup each ride!
