Shopping and trying to figure out which boat to buy for our next boat. Which boat is right for me? After two years with our first one, we have decided to get a new boat. In this video I start the journey by looking at what types and models are around me to see what other people who boat on the same waters as me are using. Boat shopping can be challenging and this video is the first chapter of our journey to a new boat!

Thank you. I bumped into your channel and found the information your post extremely helpful. Someday I would like to explore and cruise around on a boat, but it can't hurt to start doing research. Thank you for posting these helpful videos . Keep em coming! Cheers.

We have a 2007 260 Sea Ray Sundancer which measures in a 28ft with swim platform. It will all you to do everything except ski but great for entertaining friends and their kids (tubing). Now that our kids are gone it's great for the wife and myself to enjoy the cabin during the day or sleep on at night. Good luck. Love the videos. Love boating!

Never thought about seeing what other people are using in your area of intended use. Great tip

Good one! I agree with you on the boat providing shade.I got many sunburns when younger and now I am treated for skin cancer on a regular basis and need to duck out of the sun.Isee folks in Florida boating with a scarf over their head and got me one on Amazon. Happy boating.Darryl in western Canada.

nice you mentioned Deep Creek Lake....thats my neck of the woods and the Yough Lake....as you say lots pontoons, we got a power boat with cuddy, prefer yough over Deep Creek until fall less crowded. The Yough Lake also is flood control so by mid August the water level is dropped way down....thats when we boat Deep Creek

I have been looking for a Rinker Captiva 192 for my next boat. I currently have a Rinker V153 and although I like it, it can only legally hold 5 people although it has seats enough for 8 people. I will also have to buy a new car to tow a bigger boat. The v6 Hyundai Tucson is not rated to tow 3400 lbs. I have had good luck getting advice on how to maintain my current boat. The Rinker forum has a wealth of information on it. I also like the iboats forum.

What ever happened to home built house boats? When I was a kid there was a lot of them, basically a pontoon boat with a shack on the deck.
