I Bought SRIXON's Discontinued Golf Ball From SPORTS DIRECT... For CHEAP!?

I found a brand of Srixon golf ball that I have never heard of before and better yet sports direct was selling it very cheap!?

These are made exclusively for SD. The Taylormade Select on the same shelf are also exclusive to SD too. These are made purely as a budget ball so that they can sell a top tier brand at a lower cost to attract people to the stores. Often these are made by other companies and sold under license to use the name. This happens all the time in the electronics industry.

I’ve used these and thought they was an absolute bargain, only reason I switched to ad333 is because they are easier to spot with the almost bluey white cover seem to pop straight into your eyeline, no difference in performance I could shank any brand ball 🤣👍🏻

I won two dozen of these last year and they lasted ages. Not a bad ball to be honest once your used to them.. in fact I found them nicer to hit than the ad333. They are quite durable too (if you keep them outta the sand haha)

I picked up 2 dozen years ago, was so impressed by them I now play it as my ball of choice. I've found that it does everything I need from a ball. For me it performs equally as well as any premium ball I've ever tried. From what I've seen, it was branded previously as AD333+. So, the equivalent of V1X as an alternative to the V1 in Titleist, if you get my drift.

Swing's looking good Simon. People don't understand how product ranges are priced. They're not based on their actual costs. There's probably only 50p or so difference in manufacturing costs from the cheapest ball to the most expensive ball in a range. However, the company needs a £10, £20, £30 and £40 per dozen ball to form a range. Same with golf clubs.

I am usually playing off 12 by the end of our short uk season. I can categorically state that the ball I’m using makes no difference to my score. I’ve found a few of these and I agree with everything you said.

Those v300 24 balls for £15 and 48 balls for £23 (used to be 48 for £20 during covid) are decent and when you first start, as the ball doesn't really matter if it's sailing OB. V300 soft 48p a ball.

I bought these. I think they are great for the money and will buy some more. Decent feel, seem to be fairly long and resilient. A great budget option.
