Brandon Turner’s Legendary Switch Hardflip | Wheelhouse

Показать описание
Brandon Turner has stomped his signature switch hardflip at some of the world's biggest gaps, including SF's Wallenberg and the now-defunct Carlsbad. In the latest episode of 'Wheelhouse', Turner tells you who inspired him to learn the trick, how he has made it uniquely his, and why the act of visualizing yourself landing a trick is so important.

Switch hardflipped Carlsbad in 2001 and still shreds. There's hope for me.

carlsbad in '01, wallenberg in '20. imagine coming to a spot damn near 20 years older and being like "i got this."

What's most amazing to me as an older skater, is the fact that Brandon turns 40 this year. Unbelievable how he still can perform so well down big stairs. My hat goes off to him!

Brandon is an inspiration to all us skaters over 30 that you still can do what you love! Mad respect chucking yourself around like that at that age. I imagine someone like Neen Williams doing what he still does at 50.

Switch Hardflip

BATB 1 - 11

overall, 124 of 171 72.51%
on offense, 77 of 94 81.91%
on defense, 47 of 77 61.04%

First ever was by Marc Johnson vs the Legion of doom at BATB 1 Round 1
Marc set it and a regular I couldn't recognize matched it

Deathblows:

P-Rod vs Chico Brenes at BATB 3 Round 2 (Skunked)

Matt Berger vs Sean Malto at BATB 8 Round 1
in a game where Malto, known for hardflips and Switch Flips, missed both (sw flip on offense, hardflip for a letter)

Michael Sommer vs Carlos Iqui at BATB 9 Round 1
After missing it once on offense

Tom Asta vs Trent McClung at BATB 11 Round 2 (Skunked)

Don't be bummed about the regularity of BATB uploads and just take it as the gift it is
you all know the final rounds are guaranteed fire

in the meantime i'd recomend checking "King of Macba" to quench your thirst
