I'm 15 years old, in an evangelical family, and all I can say is that I am so sick of the idea that faith is just a feeling. Unfortunately, often times these contemporary worship songs give a spiritual high rather than the truth. I really want to become a Lutheran. The liturgy is centered on the truth of God's amazing grace. I have also started going to Mass at my local Catholic Church on Wednesdays. It is very spiritually fulfilling.

I like most worship songs, but for some reason, I hate Chris Tomlin songs and I don't know why

I was recently listening to a song that combined a song from Linkin Park and NF-I think some fan did it. Anyway, I listened to it and the lyrics "I've given up. I'm sick of feeling..." really resonated with me. Then, we get Linkin Park just straight up screaming about wanting to be out out of his misery. Now, I'm not suggesting thay every Christian song has to be dark. All I'm getting at is when things get emotional, as long as you can make it artistic DON'T HOLD BACK. Write lyrics that embody what you're saying. If your lyrics have to include "I don't want your sanctuary God because I have to go back fighting. I'd rather get blown up in the battle then suffer another gun shot wound from the enemy." Something like that.

How great is our God, Our God, Your grace is enough these songs are decent. But the others not really.

Some CCM is fine but it probably shouldn't be primarily in the Sunday service.
