Thank you for your efforts. It is impossible to have all these skills in person. After talking to many PMs in the industry, I have learned that responsibilities depend on many factors e.g. Company Size, Product State, Industry, Product Market Fit etc. Generally, BD, Marketing and even Sales responsibilities are taken care by the respective team at least in the large scale company.

I have 11 years of exp as a software engineer, and wanted to transition to Product Management. I asked lot of product managers on should I do a course or not, many of them said its not required, it's easy to understand etc etc. I spend almost 4-5 months learning bits and pieces over the internet, but it was of no use.

Finally I decided to go with a 5 months of Product management course, and then I realise product management is a mindset, being in software engg role for a long time, my mindset is more focused on the solution space and not problem space.

After going through course and constantly learning for 5 months, my mindset has shifted from solution space to problem space and I am really feeling better.

In a service based company - product managers are nobody but BA .
Product management companies and Product management roles are very limited and mostly for IIMs..
So B2C is out if your not an IIM, which is real building of product.
