Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 - Samsung FINALLY Listened

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will fix two of the biggest complaints people have with the Galaxy Z Flip line. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have a significantly bigger cover display and a less noticeable hinge design. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 at the Unpacked event in August.

These flip phones are actually A THING. I had my hands on the zflip4 and I gotta say that sh*t is AMAZING! The design, the build quality - PREMIUM AF! If they boost the battery, minimize the crease I think my next phone gonna be the zlip5.

As someone who has the z flip 4...I don't want a bigger screen like Motorola tbh. The size + a case, not to mention security of the device itself (like damages to thw outer screen if in pocket with keys and coins) become a huge issue for me. I actually like the small front screen...when I'm on the bus I put on my buds 2 and watch netflix or YouTube on the front screen without people looking at my screen. Plus the design is just too cute. I don't know tho I do want to see what they have in store. Qould definitely like a bigger battery for these flip models.

Samsung intentionally didn't increase the cover display because the major selling point of the Flip is the design
If they increased the cover display without thinking about the design it wouldn't be as asthetically good looking, which could lead to lower sales
Samsung said they would increase the cover display size only if they found the perfect design for it

Personally I'd like to see better battery life and a telephoto lens. I'm actually fine with the current cover screen because it makes the phones design super asthetically pleasingly. The one shown on OPPO's looked out of place...

that's a decent upgrade, but it would be nicer if they bumped the battery capacity to 4000 mAh and have the option to charge it at 45w

This is all as response to OPPO's decision to put a big screen on their first iteration to begin with. That's the benefit of competition and so when people defend brands for whatsoever reason they're rather robbing themselves of innovation and paying too much for very little!

Getting big screen is awesome but need better camera especially need zoom. Just bring S model camera to it then it will be just perfect

I think the current Galaxy Flip is good. Because flip phones or normal ones, if you want to read messages and reply, you definitely have to unlock the screen and open the messaging application. But why do so many people complain even though they are on a regular phone, not a flip phone, if you want to reply to messages and read in full, you have to unlock your phone screen. It's the same it makes no difference. The only difference is you have to open your flip phone

I believe the cover screen didnt need a size upgrade since you just need it for minimal use and its great the way it is, the only think i want samsung to improve is battery, durability and maybe the crease in the middle which isnt really an issue to me

I have a Z flip 3 and my biggest complaint about the device was the battery life. I know they improved it a bit with the Z Flip 4 but I'm sure there's still room for improvement with the Z Flip 5. I won't be upgrading until the battery is improved way more.

I'm still getting the S23 Ultra, I'm not bothered by the Flip or Fold. The idea of owning the Fold is wonderful, but it has about 5 things counting against it compared to the competition, and the aspect of the Fold being impractical for my daily needs. This is purely my opinion based on my needs of a device.

Honestly.. sometimes listening to the masses is not a right move. That front display is enough IMO. The point of that display is just "helping" to see your notifications. Not as another display for you to play around. The most needed upgrade i think its the battery...
